Job Description

Senior Cyber Project ManagerPlease note it is essential to be based within a reasonable commutable distance from Birmingham to be considered for this opportunity.Location: Birmingham (hybrid working - 1-2 days per week on site)Contract Length: 6 months with potential to extend IR35: InsideDay Rate: CompetitiveMy client is looking for a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience of delivering Cyber projects from a functional perspective, knows what the technical teams should be doing and what partners can be engaged with to outsource needs.Ideally you will have implemented a Security Operations Centre and delivered an Email Security Project for a large organisation plus helped lead a company to qualify for cyber essentials.Cyber Projects:

  • Picking up and finishing off the implementation of both Crowdstrike and Mimecast
  • Crowdstrike is the preliminary work to us looking at a SOC - this will be one of the projects
  • Email Security - Mimecast is the first phase, you will be looking at scoping and creating both business cases
  • Re-qualify for Cyber Essentials - Scoping Identity and Access Management give some direction/help develop and deliver by coaching
Character and skills:
  • Clear open, direct communication
  • Good listener - asking the right questions and digesting information well before making decisions
  • Solid people management skills and able to coach - you would need to oversee other PMs on related projects and help manage dependencies
  • Ability to set standards and have strong Prince 2 governance skills and experience - written documentation is of a high standard
  • Extremely organised, ability to hit deadlines
  • The ability to create relationships easily and quickly
  • Ability to understand complexity or abstract concepts and able to create simple and effective solutions to those
  • Ability to present effectively at board level
