This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished Senior Buyer to join the procurement team of a leading manufacturer and assist in the development of its supply chain and the ongoing management and support of their clients.As the Senior Buyer you will be responsible for the sourcing and developing new suppliers into the business to enhance new market opportunities whilst negotiating and implementing all supplier commercial terms and developing and managing product categoryplans linking to market data, competitor analysis and financial goals.Other key responsibilities will be to work collaboratively with department heads to proactively understand how Procurement can support them with achieving budget requirements and reviewing the supplier database to establish preferred and nominated suppliersfor specific categories of spend, developing and implementing category strategy/Building and implementing category strategy for all key spend areas, including Engineering Services, new factory CAPEX etc you will negotiate and implement service agreements with all new partnersYou will be a confident Buyer or Senior Buyer with a track record of working within a contract or general manufacturing environment and demonstrable experience of effectively communicating with all relevant internal and external stakeholdersIdeally CIPS qualified, you will be an accomplished negotiator, with the ability to achieve positive and commercially beneficial outcomes for clients, suppliers and the company alike whilst maintaining healthy profit margins.On offer is an attractive basic salary, bonus, pension and full product training as well as long term career opportunities.
