Job Description

Your new roleAre you a strong communicator with a positive attitude and a can-do approach We are currently seeking an individual with the above attributes who can provide flexible and varied administrative support within a busy and thriving projects environment. Thisopportunity is in the Regional Investment Programme (RIP) division, within our Major Projects (MP) directorate and will be based in Birmingham.The role will involve working closely with Project managers at all levels and the delivery team to support with significant and high-profile projects. Youll have opportunities to collaborate with stakeholders and customers across the country and demonstrateexcellent communication and organisational skills.Within this role you will be required to carry out a range of administrative processes, providing flexible business support, to contribute to the delivery of business activities and objectives to time, quality and within budget. You will be required to gothat extra mile, be proactive and take pride in what you do to deliver accurate and efficient results.What youll be leading on

  1. Operate many administrative processes, ensuring that these are delivered accurately, on time and in line with defined procedures and standards.
  2. Produce reports, presentations and other documents, collating and analysing relevant information and statistics from identified sources, to support others in the delivery of their business objectives.
  3. Answer standard and non-standard enquiries and act as a point of contact internally and externally, providing information to stakeholders to support service delivery, customer service, and management decision making and escalating issues for resolutionas necessary.
  4. Enter and maintain information on systems and files to ensure that information is up to date, in the right place and easily accessible.
  5. Manage smaller pieces of work to completion, either standalone or as part of larger projects, to support achievement of business objectives.
To be successful youll need
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience of working at pace, where organisational skills and attention to detail are not compromised.
  • Previous administration experience including organising meetings, summarising information and drafting communications
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Demonstrate experience working with internal and external stakeholders
