The Head is happy to consider both trained and un-trained SENCOs. The head has stipulated that you must be an experienced teacher will full QTS and at least working towards gaining the SENCO qualification.This position is a non-classroom based role and therefore no teaching is required, however there is an expectation to contribute to intervention sessions with special needs children. There is a possibilty for the SENCO to also achieve Assistant headship enabling the progression into the SLT team of a forward thinking and impressive Multi Academy Trust.
