Job Description

Closing date: 07/11/2021Are you an operations planning professional with experience in the security or logistics industryDo you want to be part of the biggest global event ever to be held in the West MidlandsIf so, Birmingham 2022 is looking to recruit a Security Operations Coordinator.Working collaboratively to support the Head of Security Operations and wider Security team, you will be responsible for implementing the Security Operations policies and plans, alongside liaising with suppliers to collate and manage data and personnel informationas part our Vendor Certification Scheme (VCS), contributing to a safe and secure Games. Responsibilities

  • Liaison with Suppliers/Vendors to collate data requirements to support the VCS and handling and distribution of tamper evident security seals;
  • Manage existing Excel documents, as well as developing and populating vendor spreadsheets as part of the seals register process;
  • Coordinate the administration of training requirements under the VCS to both internal Functional Areas and external vendors;
  • Participate in the auditing process of identified vendors;
  • Identify, analyse, and respond to project and operational risks to decrease the likelihood of an occurrence or impact of an identified risk.

  • Data management experience;
  • Experience and knowledge of Security Operations in a similar environment;
  • Demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and manage relationships.
Desirable
  • Previous experience within contractor/vendor management and auditing;
  • Understanding of security vulnerability assessments;
  • Previous experienced working for a high-profile, multi-sport Games or equivalent.
