Job Description

Are you a dedicated and passionate Secondary Maths Teacher seeking a new opportunityRole: Maths TeacherStart Date: JanuaryLocation: BirminghamSalary Banding: £28,000 - £43,7000Duration: PermanentAbout Us: The school are in the Northeast of Birmingham and have a good reputation. Behavior is good and we have had candidates work with this client very successfully over the last few years with candidates speaking very highly of their experiences working for theschool. The school caters to pupils aged 11 to 18 and you will take on a timetable of KS3 and 4 Mathematics.As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and comprehensive mathematics education to our students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering effective lessons, creating a positive classroom environment, andensuring that students develop a solid understanding of mathematical concepts. Your passion for mathematics and dedication to student learning will inspire and motivate our students to reach their full potential.Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver well-structured lessons aligned with the secondary school mathematics curriculum.
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for mathematics.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and implement interventions to support individual learning goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching methodologies, schemes of work, and assessments.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and guardians to support their academic progress and well-being.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational developments, methodologies, and pedagogical approaches in mathematics teaching.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school activities, including staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification recognized in the UK.
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, ideally within a UK curriculum or an equivalent international curriculum.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the secondary school mathematics curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop a love for mathematics and achieve their full potential.
  • Dedication to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and resources.
