Job Description

Science Technician required for an Ofsted Good SEMH school in South Birmingham. Do you have experience as a Science Technician or Lab Technician looking for a new challenge Do you have experience working with young people This school are looking toadd a Science Technician to the team to support the school science Teacher in delivering practical lessons, and provide 1-2-1 booster sessions for children who need additional support in Science.As a Science Technician at this school you will be joining a small and experienced team of specialist teaching and support staff who strive to ensure that every child gets the most out of each day. You will be responsible for setting up and supporting in thedelivery of practical experiments, ensuring that all health & safety regulations are adhered to. This school requires a Science Technician who is passionate about supporting young people. The school are happy to consider a Science Graduate with lab basedexperience. If you are considering a career as a Science Teacher this is a great place to start. The Science Technician Role:

  • Manage the prep room inventory
  • Order new supplies in accordance with upcoming experiments
  • Set up practical lessons as requested by the Science Teacher
  • Demonstrate and supervise practical lessons
  • Work effectively with children with SEMH needs and provide support where necessary
