Job Description

Winner Recruitment are currently supporting distribution company in Aston are recruiting for their newSales Administrator.The key purpose of the role is to support with maximising the level of sales and profitability for the business.You will help manage a portfolio of accounts, working closely with external Account Managers to develop the business and provide excellent customer service.You will be joining a successful, growing business who are a leader in their field. The team are hardworking, supportive, and very knowledgeable of the market.Experience in the metals industry preferably aluminium is preferred, but not essential, but some sort of manufacturing industry experience is essential.The duties of theSales Administratorwill include:

  • Supporting 2 external sales managers with all their administration
  • Maintain and develop existing accounts
  • To work closely with the External Account Manager(s) and General Manager in pursuing and developing all relevant business opportunities
  • To meet and exceed annual sales and margin targets set each year
  • To maximise any customer enquiry both in terms of price and other services that can be offered or sold to maximise profitability
  • Providing technical knowledge to clients of various products
  • To perform all required sales activities in the office including answering telephone calls in a professional manner, taking enquiries from new and existing customers, making pro-active calls, quoting for customer requirements, raise and amend sales orders,back-to-back purchase orders and purchase requisitions, allocate stock, agree delivery dates considering current processing and transport availability, entering all relevant information on the ERP system and CRM
  • Identify potential new business whilst maximising opportunities with current customers
  • Respond tactically to changes in market conditions and core product performance, identifying trends to maximise opportunities and acting quickly to address any issues for your allocated accounts keeping fully up to date on all relevant information, changes,and requirements
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with allocated sales accounts
  • To meet customer KPIs and specific contractual requirements
  • Liaise with credit control to ensure sales accounts remain within terms
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual Budget process for your targeted accounts
  • As and when required to entertain customers, attend any required training and courses, attend conferences and any other exhibitions and business events
The idealSales Administratorwill have:
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Computer literate with experience of basic Microsoft package and/or ERP systems.
  • An enthusiastic can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of aluminium, steel, titanium, or copper would be advantageous but not essential
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
Hours of work for theSales Administratorare MondayFriday 8.30am5pm and you will finish 30 minutes earlier on FridaySalary for theSales Administratorrole is circa £25,000
