Job Description

We are located in Birmingham, just outside the city centre. We manufacture colour dispersions, polyester gelcoats, bonding pastes and lacquers for the composites and allied industries. We are looking for a sales accounts administrator to join our small salesoffice team. This is an in-office role.Responsible to the Managing DirectorDESCRIPTION OF ROLESales Ledger

  • Posting cash received from customers to the sales ledger
  • Raising sales invoices and credit notes
  • Issuing monthly statements to customers
  • Dealing with accounts queries
  • Chasing overdue debts
Sales Order Processing
  • Receiving customers orders via telephone and email
  • Processing customers orders
  • Dealing with customers queries
  • Liaising with colleagues in production, warehouse and goods outwards.
General Sales Administration
  • Dealing with customer correspondence via email, letter and telephone.
  • Any other administrative tasks that may arise from time-to-time
Skills and personal attributes required
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Ability to process information accurately with excellent attention to detail
  • Well organised with a methodical approach to work
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word software
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Previous administrative experience useful, but full in-house training will be provided
Hours
  • Monday - Thursday: 8.15am to 4.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch
  • Friday: 8.15am to 3.45pm with 30 minutes for lunch
  • 38 hours per week
Other information
  • 24 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays.
  • Contributory pension scheme available after 3 months (3% from employee; 7% from employer)
