Job Description

Company Description: A leading and innovative manufacturer of energy saving time switches, occupancy presence and absence controls using the latest PIR and Microwave Sensor technology.Benefits:

  • To maximise company profitable sales by hitting agreed targets
  • You will be expected to manage sales-productivity, effectively track your selling activities, manage contact information for sales prospects and existing clients, and schedule visits or meetings with clients within your sales territory. You will work onsiteat prospective sites delivering sales presentations and collecting information about the client to assist in the development of marketing plans and sales strategies to increase your chances of completing a sale.
  • Develop, implement and manage the account strategy focused on growth, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate the sales activities and manage resolution of specific customer problems
Main Duties
  • To call on Electrical Wholesalers and Contractors, Lighting Designers and Architects
  • To improve the companys general market place position across all product groups within the electrical wholesale sector
  • Organize and facilitate regular customer review meetings
  • Identify new distribution customers, manage performance of the existing channel. Proposing recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls
  • Analyse and manage all commercial aspects of the wholesale channel (discount, rebates, T&Cs etc)
  • Ensure all leads are identified and full business potential realised
  • Work closely with the sales teams to maximise opportunities for all area of the business and to resolve any issues that may arise
Essential qualities required:You will need to demonstrate commanding knowledge of your target customers, existing competitors in the marketplace and industry trends that may impact a buying decision. In addition to these duties, you will maintain a regular calling or contact schedulewith wholesalers to identify more leads or resolve any problems that arise in existing client accounts. Ideally, you would live on patch and have the following attributes:
  • Experience of working within an External Sales Role in the electrical wholesale or manufacturing sector
  • Significant product knowledge and experience, particularly energy saving time switches, occupancy presence and absence controls
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Resilient & tenacious team player
  • A confident and determined approach to exceed goals
  • A high degree of self-motivation and drive
