Job Description

We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Safety and Compliance Manager to join our client, a well-established Social housing provider, based in the West Midlands and surrounding area. This role will be at the heart of the organisation,working closely with the executive team and technical services to ensure high-quality and safe properties for residents.

  • Annual salary of £45,000 - £50,000
  • 34 days of annual leave, with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days

The Role:As the Safety and Compliance Manager, you will:
  • Provide effective leadership in delivering the groups landlord health and safety compliance obligations
  • Develop and implement a building safety framework for regulatory compliance
  • Provide up-to-date advice and guidance on Asset Building Safety and Compliance to senior leaders
  • Prepare the organisation for new changes in relation to Safety and Asset Compliance
  • Design and deliver audit and assurance processes related to Tridents fire risk assessment and remedial programs
  • Support the Technical Services Team with the implementation of remedial and investment programmes
  • Monitor the performance of specialist contractors in relation to the maintenance of compliance performance across the group
The Candidate:The ideal Safety and Compliance Manager will:
  • Have 5 years experience within housing asset management with detailed knowledge around fire and building safety requirements
  • Have the ability to analyse complex data and trends to inform service delivery
  • Hold a nationally recognised fire qualification such as Fire Safety Management Diploma or similar
  • Hold a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or similar qualification
  • Have or be working towards a nationally recognised qualification in audit and compliance
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills for effective liaison with internal and external clients
  • Be proficient in Microsoft packages, including advanced Excel, Project, and CRM
The Package:As the Safety and Compliance Manager, you will receive:
  • An annual salary of £45,000 - £50,000
