Researcher / Data Research Analyst / Traffic Data Operator who has excellent customer service, communication and telephone skills with the ability to interpret data from multiple sources and who has excellent time-management skills is requiredfor a well-established company based in Birmingham, West Midlands.NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - FULL TRAINING PROVIDEDSALARY:

  • £21,840 per annum, Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm (40 Hours per Week)
  • £22,698 per annum, Monday to Friday 5pm - 1am (40 Hours per Week)
LOCATION: Birmingham, West MidlandsJOB TYPE: Full-Time and Part-Time, Permanent Jobs AvailableWORKING HOURS: Flexible ShiftsPLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a Broadcast RoleJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Researcher / Data Research Analyst / Traffic Data Operator who has excellent customer service, communication and telephone skills with the ability to interpret data from multiple sources and who has excellenttime-management skillsHave you ever wondered where the traffic news you hear on the radio or see on your sat nav comes from The companys team of Researchers / Data Research Analysts / Traffic Data Operators supplies real-time traffic incident and congestion data to 99% of commercial radio as well as the BBC in the UK and a host of household names in the automotive industry suchas Ford and Garmin. The international team also supplies data to over 200 television stations in the United States.Working as a Researcher / Data Research Analyst / Traffic Data Operator you will gather data from information sources including traffic cameras, police, CCTV control rooms, highway authorities and social media and manage it using our custom-built incidentmapping software.As a Researcher / Data Research Analyst / Traffic Data Operator you will have the ability to deliver quality, timely information, under pressure. No two days are the same as the company operates 24/7/365 to keep the public informed of whats happening onUK, European and North American road networks. Youll be taking calls from all over the country, keeping an eye on hundreds of jam cams and using the latest technology to help keep the roads moving. Dont worry if you arent familiar with the road networkas full training will be provided.As a successful candidate you will join an internationally successful company that provides its employees with resources that are second to none. They are a close-knit team and work in a professional yet friendly environment.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Client-focused approach
  • Ability to remain calm and work quickly under pressure
  • Be able to interpret data from multiple web-based sources as well as police scanners
  • The ability to prioritise a range of incidents and handle a busy workload across four screens
  • Ability to problem-solve and use judgement and initiative
  • Experience using online mapping and Microsoft Office software
  • Journalistic knowledge (desirable)
  • Detailed knowledge of Tweetdeck (desirable)
  • Understanding of North American road networks (desirable)
