Job Description

Are you looking for a short to medium contract working with a successful global manufacturer that design & manufacturer specialist products for a range of different industries. As their Regulatory Specialist you will be supporting with a wide range of taskson a 6-month FTC.There is a chance this contract may extend further.Client DetailsThis global supplier design & manufacture specialist products that they distribute to multiple different industries both domestically & internationally. This Regulatory role will focus on ensuring obligations are met when it comes to industry regulations,providing advice on product safety, classification, labelling & packaging of the product.DescriptionAs the Regulatory Specialist you will be driving best practice by working cross-functionally within the business in order to maintain compliance & customer facing relationships. As well as:Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assessment of data pertaining to the import and synthesis of chemical substances within Europe (particular focus on REACH Registrations, Exposure Scenarios, Brexit issues)
  • Communications support for ECHA obligations (C&L Inv notifications, REACH Registration data, etc) and liaison with internal contacts and supporting consultant services
  • To support European Product Safety Manager in communications between Product Safety, Product Data Control Group, Purchasing and Product Management roles
  • Provide support and advice to all European operations on matters relating to product safety including:
  • Classification, labelling and packaging of chemicals;
  • Domestic and international transportation of chemicals;
  • REACH, Biocidal Products Regulation, Stockholm and Rotterdam conventions, EU Export controls, etc
  • Liaise with other departments within the company, customers, suppliers, toll manufacturers, 3rd party distribution services etc. in the areas of product safety
  • Assist and support the European Product Safety Manager in all aspects of their role as may be necessary
ProfileYou will be from a Chemical Engineering background, ideally with some working experience in Regulations within a chemical manufacturing environment, as well as:
  • Degree qualified - ideally in Chemical Engineering
  • Good knowledge of REACH, CLP
  • Ideally experience in assessing/reviewing vendor SDSs
  • Strong communication skills
