Role: Regional Stock Manager / Regional Products CoordinatorSector: Construction Supplies / Building Materials - Timber & Sheet MaterialsPackage: £28,000 - £38,000 + Car + BonusLocation: Midlands & South East (M40 corridor)RoleThis is a very engaging and exciting role for someone with an entrepeneurial, free thinking yet forensic approach to stock management. The role will morph and develop over time. It is not an off the shelf type stock control / supply chain role.ClientOur client is a very well established Distributor of Timber and Timber related building materials / construction supplies. Supplying certified timber including:ProductSheet materials,Panelled products and building boards, Sawn Hardwood & Softwood, Carcassing, Door Liners, Door Blanks, Cladding, Window Boards, Mouldings, Skirting boards, architraves and more.Due to growth they are looking to recruit an experienced Regional Stock Manager / Stock Coordinator / Stock Controller / Products Coordinator. Ideally someone who has lived and breathed Stock Management / Stock Control from within Construction Supplies / Building Materials sector (ideally from the Timber Merchants / Builders Merchant sector - knowledge of timber panel products, sheet materials).This is a regional role which would require a certain amount of travel along the M40 corridor.Priority No. 1 in the role is to look at reducing the stock amount of slow moving lines - analyse data, liaise with the branch network, identify the problem stock items. Next step - creative ideas. Working with the wider, find solutions and ways to reduce this stock level. Why was it brought in Does it just need to be moved to another area within the business, does it need a marketing push, does it just need to be reduced and soldOnce the problem stock has been addressed, the role would then move onto other projects, such as New Product Development and stock controls associated with new products.Key Responsibilities:
