Job Description

  • The Role:
  • A leading global organisation in the specialist medical devices sector, which continues to grow from strength to strength due to innovation and a real focus on product quality and after sales support, seeks to recruit a skilled sales professional.
  • You will be responsible for increasing the sales of state of-the art digital hearing instruments.
  • Increasing revenue of the territory, identifying and following up sales opportunities and influencing customers in their purchasing decisions in favour of their products.
  • The RSM will be covering the Midlands but will also focus on the Irish markets (To start with will be in Ireland twice a month then one established will be every 6-8 weeks).
  • Focus is on the Private/Independent Healthcare Retail.
  • To start with the role will focus on the existing accounts that they have in the area. Growing the product lines within them.
  • Organise the territory, plan cost-effective routing and prioritise multiple tasks independently.
  • Develop, maintain and implement a yearly plan to achieve the goals of the territory.
  • Reporting direct to the UK Sales Manager.
  • £40k-£42k basic plus 20% OTE – company car, laptop, phone, 33 days’ holiday (inc. bank holidays), and private pension.
  • The Ideal Person:
  • Experienced sales professional – (Minimum 4 years B2B field sales experience – private healthcare sector).
  • Medical and/or Healthcare sales experience preferred - selling technical products, rather than services.
  • Experience in Audiology would be idea but will also consider candidates from a pharmaceutical or Optical background.
  • Doesnt want someone that will sell just on price, needs someone that is able to sell based on the value of the brand and what the clinical benefits to the end users are.
  • A professional that can look at their area and can spot the gaps and knows what conversations are to be had
  • Relevant Degree (preferred, but not essential).
  • Right commercial desire and aptitude to drive business growth.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Personable, excellent interpersonal skills – customer communication & group presentations.
  • Organise the territory, plan cost-effective routing and prioritize multiple tasks independently.
  • Flexibility to travel daily throughout the territory with occasional overnight stays.
  • Ease of access to major airport essential as Ireland will be a key focus area.
  • Charismatic, ability to engage and build rapport with customers.
