Job Description

Regional Sales Manager - Civil Building ProductsJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Access & Drainage Building ProductsIndustry Sector: Access Drainage, Access Cover, Building Drainage, Drainage, Manhole Covers, Gratings, Gully Gratings, Steel Covers, Drainage, Linear Drainage Channel, Surface Covers, Underground Pipes and Fittings, Covers, Builders Merchants, Civil Merchants,Civils, Main Contractors, Civil Contractors and GroundworkersArea to be covered: National (ideally based Centrally) Remuneration: £35,000 - £50,000 + £10,000 bonusBenefits: Fully expensed car and full benefits packageThe role of the Area Sales Manager -Civil Building Products will involve:

  • Field sales role promoting predominantly a manufactured range of access & drainage solutions such as: access cover, gully gratings, steel covers, drainage etc
  • Covering nationally with a preference with you being based Centrally
  • All of your time will be spent selling to / generating specifications with architects, main contractors, sub-contractors, groundworkers, civil engineers, builder merchants, civils merchants
  • Responsible for an area with a turnover of circa £2m-£3m
  • Majority of your time will be spent generating new business
  • Working closely with and reporting to MD
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Civil Building Products with:
  • Must have sold to either builder merchants, civils merchants, civil contractors, groundworkers, civil engineers, architects
  • Would consider an external sales rep working for merchant such as Jewson Civils, Keylite and Burdens
  • Open in terms of what products sold
  • Ideally sold some civils or heavyside building products such as; building drainage, manhole covers, access covers, gratings, linear drainage channel, underground pipes and fittings, security chambers/ covers etc.
  • Autonomous in nature
  • Honest/ humility
  • Structured sales process/ territory management skills
