Job Description

We are currently working with a Birmingham based organisation who are looking to hire a Recruitment Equality Partner on a 12 month fixed term contract.The role is a full time position (37 hours) Monday - Friday and is hybrid with 3 days office working and 2 days working from home.The ideal candidate will have proven recruitment and selection experience and will lead on ensuring that strong and proactive EDI practice is embedded in recruitment and selection processes and behaviours.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Developing and implementing action plans to ensure the implementation of EDI strategy and EDI in employment policy in respect of Recruitment and Selection
  • Working with HR colleagues and across the organisation to ensure that workforce planning, including the management of any redeployees, is optimised, supported and in line with the EDI strategy
  • Supporting recruiting managers by providing a diverse perspective throughout the recruitment process - This will involve advising on job descriptions to ensure they are inclusive and capture role requirements and the use of inclusive language for advertising
  • Ensuring that interview chairs and panels are diverse and have undertaken recruitment and unconscious bias training in advance of shortlisting and interview participation
  • Providing detailed advice on recruitment issues across the University, with a focus on EDI
  • Supporting the reporting of recruitment information to the Universitys EDI Committee
Experience required (but not limited to):
  • Significant experience of working on the delivery of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategies and processes
  • Advocate of equality, diversity and inclusion with an in depth understanding of the significance of this in a recruitment and selection
  • Understanding of full cycle recruiting
