Job Description

Quantity Surveyor - Coleshill, Birmingham The Client:This Quantity Surveyors role is with one of the UKs leading main contractors. This tier 1 main contractor operates in many different sectors such as; education, healthcare, commercial, retail, highways and rail. The project itself is operating primarilyin their Civil Engineering division, to work on their highways and infrastructure project in Coleshill, Birmingham.The Role:

  • Measure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures.
  • Measure & interpret specifications & drawings;
  • Build up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimates;
  • Translate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates.
  • Review weekly, monthly, section programmes of works;
  • Have an understanding of delay and disruption programmes.
  • Collation of Cost and Value Information;
  • Preparation of Cost reconciliation statements.
  • Collation of cost and value information;
  • Measurement of works and agreements with subcontractors
