Job Description

Your new roleAs the Quality and Testing lead in the Technology Programmes delivery team you will lead the development and implementation of a new Quality and Testing and Assurance framework to be adopted across all IT projects and programmes. This will also extend to oursupply chain. You will work with our CTO function to from the tooling strategy for Quality and Testing and lead the initiative to land the subsequent tools, services and training required. You will also be deployed to projects to lead Quality and Testing activities,working closely with project Managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are setup for success and to ensure services are fit for purpose before live service commences. Where required you will need to work within procured frameworks and with suppliers toobtain testing services to satisfy the demand of projects.This is a great opportunity for you develop both personally and professionally in an organisation that will support you.What youll be leading on

  • Lead, develop and execute required testing quality standards across all Information Technology and Operational roadside technology environments.
  • Take ownership for establishing policy for the testing function team and setting the testing strategies as required based on the type of work being undertaken.
  • Own continuous improvement for Quality and Testing and research new technology, new techniques to implement change.
  • Build the quality assurance and testing community.
  • Provide organisational leadership advocating test capabilities both internally and outside of NH within the supply chain
To be successful you should have
  • A strong background in business process design and testing
  • Ideally has experience in roadside operational technology and enterprise IT testing environments
  • Ability to communicate and land change to ensure quality is at the heart of our project delivery frameworks
  • A deep understanding and experience of delivery waterfall and agile projects and programmes across multiple diverse business units
  • Strong negotiation, in interpersonal skills that will be used to manage key suppliers to ensure quality standards are implemented as agreed and are being performed
  • Deep understanding and hands on experience of implementing and using automated tools and collaboration tools to track progress
  • Ideally the person will be qualified in ISEB for Testing or equivalent
