Job Description

Role: Quality EngineerLocation: Birmingham - Hockley B18Salary: £15.00 p/h moving to £16.00 p/h once permanentOvertime: £22.50 p/h after 39 hoursHours: 39 hours. 8.00am - 4.30pm (3.30pm on Friday) - Flexible start times availableThe role: Quality Engineer

  • Reporting to the Works Director, as Quality Engineer you will be maintaining all internal Quality systems and ensuring that all Quality standards are met.
  • Your main focus will be providing essential quality assurance support and timely reports to our customers whilst working closely with the internal team to ensure that corrective actions are implanted.
  • Experience with working with a Low volume, one off / proto-type business.
  • The company is looking for someone to support ISIR as they embark on NPI (new product Introduction) projects.
  • The Person:
  • Its essential that to be considered for this role the Quality Engineer needs to have CMM programming experience (Mitutoyo MCOSMOS)
  • Experience in working within a small team and used to dealing with demanding OEM customers
  • Experienced Quality Engineer with knowledge and application of the PPAP and Six Sigma process preferred
  • Experience of working in an automotive supply or fast paced manufacturing environment
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and volumes
  • At least 4 years of Quality experience preferred
  • A driven, can do and motivational attitude to work
  • An understanding of basic improvement techniques
  • Experience of using LEAN tools
