Job Description

My client, a packaging manufacturer based in Yardley, Birmingham is currently seeking a QA Technician to take ownership and to assure the consistent quality of incoming goods, ensuring procedures and specifications are followed and encouraging and developingGMP across all areas.Benefits:

  • Salary: £22,000
  • Holidays: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
  • Free on-site parking
  • Hours of work: 9am-5:30pm
  • Location: Yardley
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Inspection of incoming goods
  • Technical testing as required
  • Approval of product samples
  • Assisting in improvements to the QMS
  • Handling of all complaints / non-conformance investigations
  • Completion of all specifications
  • Control of FSC artwork
  • Completion of customer requests as applicable
  • Liaising with suppliers and colleagues
  • Recording of results and report writing
  • Use of Quick Base and standard computer packages
Skills/Experience Required:
  • Experience in SAP and Quickbase would be an advantage
  • The ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • The ability to communicate effectively
  • To be accurate and detailed
  • Experience of Word and Excel
  • The ability to work alone but also to be a team player
  • Quality Goods In inspections
  • Understanding of BRC Packaging requirements
  • Working against procedures and specifications
