QA LeadRemote working with occasional office visits requiredOur client, a leading financial services organisation have an opportunity for a QA Lead to join on a permanent basis to work alongside the Development Manager, ensuring a high level of QA across the business. The role will be a hands-on technical QA Leadwith approximately 80% technical and 20% leadership responsibilities. This role would suit a professional already in a Test/QA Lead capacity but would also be open to those who are experienced Testers/QAs who are looking for the next step in their career.The business operate a flexible policy within IT but there is an expectation to visit the offices to meet with stakeholders and ensure relationships are built and maintained.Key responsibilities and tasks

• Manage the QA lifecycle and Test Automation Pack for key business systems, providing test plans for project and BAU work
• Supervise, mentor, coach, develop and motivate QA team members, providing technical expertise to ensure they team know what is expected of them, maximise performance and develop potential, striving for continual improvement in the teams efficiency andeffectiveness
• Manage the performance and relationships with external partners / vendors to deliver QA testing services to the business and building partnerships that deliver tangible benefits
• Manage business stakeholders by developing positive relationships through the appropriate management of expectations and agreed objectives and deliverables
• Responsible for maintaining the QA environments and associated tools and application, including access controls and clear separation of access as per audit requirements
• Develop and deploy structured QA/test methodologies and tools/applications to improve the quality of all system / application changes and deployments
• Contribute to the definition and maintenance of the QA teams operating standards through the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes, coding standards, issue tracking and reporting to improve productivity and quality in IT deliverables
• Ensure tests run overnight via Jenkins and the results are monitored daily
• Provide regular updates and escalate, if necessary, on the progress of testing though daily stand-ups and project / management reporting.
• Organisation and facilitation of testing, reporting, and sign off all testing as part of projects and BAU work
• Conducting meetings with key business user`s to ensure a full understanding of each project / BAU change to allow for effective testing and establishing what tests need to be automated
• Working with third parties to ensure full and complete testing is undertaken in line with company standards
• Remain customer focused at all times and strive for business excellence
• Work with all stakeholders to ensure that QA Automation is utilised to contribute towards all project work delivery, where feasible
• Provide post-implementation support by performing post implementation testing if required
• Other ad-hoc tasks and/or projects as required and in-line with the skills and responsibilities of the role
• Use Zephyr within JIRA to help plan both Automated and Manual test runs

Essential Skills

• Experience of leading a QA team and implementing / improving a Testing approach with an increasing use of automation
• Automation testing experience within a WebDriverIO Framework
• Significant experience of Java Script
• Demonstrate Automation of hybrid Mobile app with APPIUM
• Demonstrate Front End Automation within Salesforce using Selenium and WebDriverIO
• Experience of writing API Automation with tools such as Postman
• Exposure to QA testing best practices
• Experience of BDD / TDD
• A flexible, responsive, positive, and team-oriented outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present test evidence clearly and to work effectively with employees and management at all levels
• Proven ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Solid analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience of Mentoring and Training team members on all aspects of Test Automation
• Demonstrate use of Jenkins to schedule and run tests
• JIRA / Zephyr
• Track record of working with Jenkins or similar tools
