Job Description

Being a core member of the supply chain function, dealing with both purchasing and inventory for the business.Client DetailsAn established business in the heart of Birmingham who have seen big growth over the last year looking to expand on this and add to their growing team.DescriptionBusiness Planning Manage inventory levels in accordance with Demand Plan Keep stock to an agreed level by achieving improvement in stock turn Manage stock by keeping stock outs to a minimum Measure and monitor Suppliers against Service Level agreementsBusiness Results Review stock within MRP and place purchase ordersReview stock within MRP and defer or bring forward orders as required Complete stock out report highlighting actions taken to Purchasing Manager and identify any critical items that need resolution Review stock rotation reports from Demand Planner and complete all stock rotations as terms with distribution agreement Adhere to agreed timescales in all work activities Keep stock to an agreed level by achieving improvement in stock turnCustomer / Supplier Engagement Develops strong relationships with Suppliers and internal or external customers. Understands customer requirements and aims highly strives to meet their individual needsPromotes the business as a great place to workProfileA successful performer in this role will: Deliver on commitments Keep customers informed and updated on progress of B2B orders Provide the highest level of customer service even under pressure Look for ways to improve work processes to save time and/or cost Be hungry to win and delivery every order showing ambition and drive Invest time in getting to know people in other departments Build good working relationships with colleaguesProvide people with the information they need when they need it Produce accurate written materials using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation Work problems through to resolution on their own imitative Determine priorities for tasks Build rapport and win the support of colleagues/suppliers and management Go out of their way to share information, expertise and learning with colleagues Look for ways to improve time allocation Explain views clearly using supporting facts and information Make sound decisions under pressure Move quickly when there is a customer or supplier crisis Inspire confidence in their ability to solve customer/supplier problems Attend all necessary training to keep up to date with the requirements of their job Actively participate in development planning with their manager Ask their manager for feedback on how they are doingJob Offer
