Job Description

REED Birmingham Accountancy and Finance are recruiting for aPermanent Purchase Ledger Clerk, on behalf of a Birmingham City Centre client.Salary £22,000 - £26,000Full time, Hybrid 3 days from home, 2 in office.Working withintravel and tourism industry.RoleAs Purchased Ledger Clerk you will be working closely with theHead of Finance and be responsible for the swift reconciliation of supplier invoices with attention to detail and accuracy.Responsibilities• Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and running of the purchase ledger forsuppliers in various currencies.• Reconciliation of supplier invoices against the internal booking data and systems.• Sending out of payment conformation and remittance to suppliers once paid.• Posting of all payments once complete and remitted.• Investigation and resolution of any pricing discrepancies and queries.• Any ad hoc transactional duties that may be required.Essential Requirements• Proven experience working within a busy finance team, with hands on experience using accounting software.• AAT or (working towards AAT) qualification or ACCA qualified.• Advanced knowledge of Excel (using formulas, pivot tables and data analysis)• Good organisational skills andtime management• Ability to work to tight deadlines and schedules.Desirable• Experience in working with numerous currencies.
