Job Description

Proposition development:

  • Utilise market and customer insights to drive new proposition development
  • Keep informed on customer and market needs/trends to ensure developments are market appropriate and meet the needs of the customer
  • Incorporate segmentation into proposition development ensuring each segment has its own proposition
  • Establish a way to support MM and C&S product development, ensuring priority is given to the right proposition development based on commercial risk / rewards
  • Ensure propositions are based on a solid understanding of customer needs
Customer value propositions:
  • Agree a scalable set of processes, templates and tools for proposition development - translate concepts into clear, targeted and compelling customer propositions supported by sound commercials
  • Where relevant recommend pricing levels, naming/renaming and marketing material to support and fit with other product families
  • Engage with wider marketing team
Insight based approach:
  • Interpreting customer insight and market intelligence alongside working with both external suppliers and internal teams to design and build propositions to deliver to prospects and customers
  • Facilitate processes for market and customer feedback of projects, ensuring that we learn quickly
  • Advocate a research first approach to product/proposition development
Product/proposition launches:
  • Responsible for all new product and proposition launches
  • Responsible for all launch collateral, both online and offline (videos, literature)
  • Engagement with Sales and other key stakeholders to ensure propositions are embedded
Proposition portfolio management:
  • Evaluating all new proposition opportunities and defining the current proposition portfolio to improve sales and retention
  • Optimisation of the proposition portfolio , development, evaluation and implementation of initiatives to improve overall business performance
  • Work closely with the product, pricing and commercial team to optimise product profitability
  • Act as the internal focal point for information about propositions
  • Ensure all product/propositions are maintained and kept up-to-date
Annual propositions plan:
  • Create and maintain an annual proposition plan to look at new and existing products.
  • Support Product Management in planning and evaluating products
  • Effective management of proposition budget to achieve maximum ROI
  • Robust reporting to ensure all proposition activity is accurately measured
Agency services:
  • Brief multiple agencies and select appropriate resource to achieve agreed objectives
