Collingwood is proud to be the retained Search partner with this genuine world leading building product manufacturer.Company SummarySince our clients inception nearly 100 years ago, they have produced over 20 million units across 38 factories in Europe, Asia and North America, whilst employing a total of 6,000 people.Our client first established their UK headquarters over 40 years ago and thanks to continued growth they moved site into what is now a 12,000 square foot purpose built site.Through a combination of organic growth and acquisition, our clients revenue has nearly doubled, to over £100 million in the past five years. This has seen them increase their number of Service Engineers to 100 allowing them to offer a fantastic servicing function,which complements the highly engineered product.Along with this increase in revenue is our clients tender pipeline which has doubled in the same timeframe. This is largely down to an extremely strong reputation with architects, main contractors and specifiers, who see them as the best in class. They boasta conversion rate of 33% of all enquiries in.Role SummaryFundamentaly this role is responsible for securing projects in the Midlands and surrounding areas, working with end users, contractors and architects to ensure the manufacturer matches and specifies the correct products.This person will have fantastic back-office support, allowing them to focus solely on the task of converting enquiries to sales. Design and quotation work is completed inhouse, thus allowing the sales team sell.Project size ranges from £25K up to £2.5 million.Build and Maintain good and professional working relationships with customers to create an atmosphere that fosters sales Ensure this manufacturer is the Partner of Choice.Proactively develop specifications with key specifiers to secure long term growth.Win new trade business and develop existing local accounts to maximise sales.Candidate SummaryFor this person to succeed, Collingwoods client is specifically looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Strong experience in building products and able to deal with Architects, Clients and Main Contractors. Collingwoods client is not precious on this person coming from a competitor, as long as their building product exposure heavily resolves around specificationselling.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, able to work alone and also as a team.
  • Working as an ambassador for the brand, they are comfortable dealing at all levels, including Main Board.
  • A proven track record of securing Supply & Fit Contracts and a natural hunger to succeed.
  • Highly organised yet flexible with an ability to adapt to changes in workload.
