Job Description

Project Manager (Financial Services)Up to £62k + excellent benefits including up to 30% bonusPermanentWythall, Telford or EdinburghOur client, a market leading Financial Services organisation, are currently looking for multiple Project Managers to join their Financial Management Change team.They are looking for successful project managers who are experienced in delivering transformational change for in a faced paced environment, as well as using delivery methodologies, working within programmes, building, and maintaining, relationships witha cross functional set of stakeholders and focused on delivery of outcomes and benefits.The role involves working as part of a Change community, focussed on the delivery of a broad range of projects aimed at transforming their operating model and supporting a regulatory and control environment.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define robust and reliable plans, scope, and resource profiles
  2. Proactively manage RAIDS and encourage collaborative resolution
  3. Reliably forecast and report project costs and resources on a regular basis underpinned by robust delivery plans
  4. Track and report progress vs. plan and preventive actions to avoid slippage
  5. Drive innovative delivery approach to achieve project outcomes in a shorter timescale and high impact
  6. Communicate effectively with project team and stakeholders across the hierarchy
  7. Work closely with sponsors to define benefits and hold them to account on benefit tracking and delivery
  8. Lead and manage workshops, working groups, steering committees
  9. Ensure projects follow the agreed governance and delivery framework as defined within The Phoenix Group, this includes ensuring that all project team members understand the requirements and follow correct Change Management Framework (CMF) guidelines
Role Requirements:3+ years experience of working as a project manager within financial services,Experience within an Actuarial environment is a big plus, but not essential.You will be self-starting, results and outcome oriented, focused on driving projects forward, keeping your project team, and stakeholders, engaged along the way.You must be effective at driving governance, process and content delivery; getting close enough to the detail to ensure that projects consistently deliver successfully.You should be used to working in a changing environment, be comfortable with ambiguity and can structure and shape the delivery of projects. Youd be expected to be autonomous, in your daily work, and be great at building project teams, influencing stakeholdersand communicating effectively.You must be experienced in working with cross functional teams of subject matter experts and 3rd parties to develop robust delivery approaches and plans, estimating costs and resources, building business cases, and working with the business sponsor to identifyand driving benefits realisation.We are particularly interested if you have experience of leading complex and transformational Process, Technology, Data or Regulatory led projects, Operating Model design or implementation.IND_PC1Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
