Job Description

Could you use your project management experience to directly impact the lives of women involved or at risk of contact with the criminal justice system Charity People is proud to be partnering with The JABBS Foundation in the creation of a brand-new Project and Learning Manager opportunity, with an emphasis on project management, stakeholder engagement and supporting evidence-based research.Salary: £45k Fixed term contract for three years, potential for extensionLocation: Birmingham (remote or office based) with regular travel to womens centres across England and WalesHours: Full time or part-time (3 days min)Flexible, life and family-friendly working The JABBS Foundation has to-date agreed grants totalling over £30 million including significant funds for key programmes supporting women involved or at risk of contact with the criminal justice system and organisations that address their multiple and complexunmet needs. They have recently stepped up their funding of work in this area to ensure that the voices of women and womens centres are heard more clearly by funders and the Government and to improve the evidence base around the effectiveness of womens centres.To give you an idea of how this unique opportunity would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

  • Build successful relationships and foster collaboration between all project partners, including womens centres and the University of Birmingham research team
  • Oversight of maintenance and delivery of project plan to guide grant partners and the project team
  • Work effectively with relevant stakeholders to build buy-in for project and the learnings being generated and enable efficient project implementation
  • Support womens centres to adopt and implement the Womens Risk Needs Assessment (WRNA) tool through provision of technical guidance
To apply for this Project Manager role, you will need experience working in a relevant stakeholder engagement and project delivery role at a womens centre, womens specialist organsiation, or community centre, or at another charity or NGO where you haveworked closely with smaller organsiations. You will also require the following:
  • Project management experience delivering complex projects
  • Knowledge of case management and associated tools
  • Emotionally intelligent with exceptional relationship management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
