Job Description

Programme Investment AnalystHybrid Working / Agile Working, BirminghamProgressive and innovative public sector organisation seeks individual with strong stakeholder management and analytical skills to join their team as a Programme Investment Analyst for a 12 month FTC.This role will see you assessing Business Cases and Change Requests for a range of investment projects. You will use your analytical skills to support senior management to make better spending and investment decisions. This will involve working closely witha range of key stakeholders to produce comprehensive Risk and Investment Appraisal Reports.A salary of circa £48,000 is offered along with a competitive benefits package. The position is based in Birmingham and will allow for hybrid and agile working.Key Benefits

Key Duties
  • Assess Business Cases and Change Requests for a range of investment projects
  • Produce comprehensive Risk and Investment Appraisal Reports
  • Assess Value for Money (VfM) for the public purse
  • Appraise compliance with relevant frameworks
  • Determine the affordability, commercial viability, and deliverability of projects
  • Highlight project risks to the Risk Manager
Essential Candidate Criteria
  • Experience working within a Project/PMO environment
  • Excellent verbal and inter-personal skills
  • Excellent written and analytical skills
  • Ability to succinctly summarise complex information
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
Non-essentialCandidate Criteria
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner (Desirable)
  • P3O Foundation or Practitioner (Desirable)
  • MSP Foundation or Practitioner (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of HM Treasury Green Book (Desirable)
  • Five Business Case Model (Desirable)
