The ClientOur client is a major insurance practice and market leader in the professional indemnity sector, with a team of more than 100 professional indemnity lawyers across the country. Their 20-strong team in Birmingham is both well established and well balanced andcontinues to grow.The team in Birmingham handle a very wide range of work, including professional indemnity claims, D&O claims, construction and property damage disputes and complex coverage matters.The team have an outstanding client list, including composite insurers, London Market insurers, self-insureds and corporate clients.The Role:Our client wishes to recruit a junior lawyer to help service the teams ever-increasing volume of work. The role will involve running a diverse caseload of professional indemnity claims and assisting experienced lawyers with complex matters.Key requirements:Previous defendant professional indemnity experience (NQ-5 PQE)An ability to prioritise workloadAn ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and concise reportsAbility to pay attention to detailAbility to work with case management systemsThe personal skills to deal with such work as major and expensive litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlersLegal qualification requiredsolicitor/FCILExDesirable:Willingness to play a role in the development of client relationships and of the practice as a whole.Claims handling experience (via a previous secondment or otherwise).If you require further details on this exciting role then please do contact Stephen Hunt on or email and reference SH-131
