Job Description

Excellent team environment based near the Jewellery QuarterTemp-to-perm opportunityFavourable day shifts with skills developmentHours of work for Trainee Production PlannerMonday to Thursday 0715-1545Friday 0715-1245Rate of Pay £9.90-£10.50 depending on experienceAs a Production Planner, you will need to ensure all metal is booked in and checked for correct alloy, location and weight then assigned to the correct location. Accuracy is imperative due to the material we deal with. You will report to a team leader and buildyour experience in the management of metal processes.The main responsibilities of Production PlannerAccurately check weigh and book in materialAssign metal to productionProcess scrap and assign to correct locationsDeal with enquiries from salesLiaise with other areas on metal issuesMaintain stock controlParticipate in stocktakeMachine of cast bars (milling)Drilling bars for assay samplingEssential skills / experienceExperience of production / engineering environmentThe ability to follow specific processes and procedures accuratelyFlexible and conscientious with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a teamExcel and word competentAbility to work with minimum supervisionPhysically fit as some heavy lifting requiredExcellent eye for detailBenefits of Production PlannerUp to 24 days annual leave plus bank holidaysLife AssuranceGym Discounts and eye care vouchersCycle to work schemeWe will provide you with on-the-job training, guidance, and the support you need to build on your existing experience.As part of the new starter vetting process the successful candidate will be asked to complete a DBS check for Trainee Production Planner role.If you feel that you have suitable experience for the Production Planner position, please click apply or email
