Temp to perm opportunity local to Quinton / NorfieldFantastic pay rates and overtime availabilityFree parking and uniform providedProduction Line Operative to join a key automation factory, located in the South Birmingham area, this role is not for just for the Christmas period and a genuine temporary-permanent opportunity.This is a renowned manufacturer of car parts and roof frame solutions, building frames for a number of major brands. They are a progressive, fast-paced factory, offering the potential for lots of overtime. All applicants for this role MUST hold at least 12months experience as a Production Line Operative in a previous role.In turn, the company will offer a starting rate of £10.57 per hour to all Production Line Operative, this is with overtime premiums of up to £16.77 per hour once time served. Overtime comes in the form of x2 compulsory hours of overtime per day which is paidat a rate of time plus one third for the morning shift and time plus one half for the afternoon shift. On completion of any mandatory overtime you will receive £25 per week bonus.Further overtime will be paid at time plus one half for any hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week, and double time for Sundays and Bank Holidays.Working hours will run from 0600-1600 / 1600- 0200 rotating weekly (Monday to Friday).The company are looking to offer long-term positions within a dynamic, team-focussed automotive environment, with excellent amenities including a canteen and free public parking facilities. You will also receive industry leading training within an automatedmanufacturing environment.In order to be successful for this Production Line Operative position, candidates must bring the following attributes:- Ability to use a range of hand tools (e.g. power drills, glue guns) and industrial equipment (e.g. pop rivet guns)- Proven background on a fast-paced automated track/ assembly line- Experienced with running machinery (e.g. press machines, laser welding machines, CNC)- Ability to carry out the tasks expected of a Production Operative whilst meeting strict build targets)- Comfortable with working from basic technical drawings & having a keen eye for detail (quality inspection is a huge part of your initial role)- Understanding of automotive principles (e.g. 5s) would be advantageous but not essentialIn order to be successful for this position you must complete a clean drug and alcohol test.If you feel that you hold relevant experience for our Production Line Operative vacancy, please click below and apply.
