Product Consultant(Hybrid working model post Covid)A Sunday Times Top 100 company (seven years running) who specialise in the design and build of bespoke digital solutions are looking for an astute and experienced Product Consultant. The successful Product Consultant will join my clients market-leadingProduct Capability and will play a lead role in one or more multi-discipline agile delivery teams.As Product Consultant you will manage the end-to-end backlog for a product while overseeing its quality and progress. You will manage a team of business analysts and product owners to ensure that requirements-gathering are prioritised and operated efficientlyand effectively. Working alongside delivery managers and solution architects, you will help shape the approach the wider team utilise while proactively hunting commercial opportunities and lead in product-level commercial negotiations. You will ensure theactive engagement with product and business stakeholders, gaining buy-in and managing expectations, while owning the delivery of consulting initiatives as part of the capability. You will be provided the opportunity to manage, mentor and develop a small teamensuring positive employee cohesion and performance.The Product Consultant will have significant expertise in:

• Leading product teams to ensure the product vision and goals are understood for scope to be managed effectively.
• Formulating goal-oriented roadmaps while gaining buy-in from stakeholders and instilling a focus on Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
• Ensure that requirements-gathering, refinement and prioritisation processes are fit for purpose.
• Owning the end to end backlog and taking responsibility for user story quality and progress.
• Managing and mentoring multi-discipline teams ensuring high performance and cohesion.
• Building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops to discuss conflicting POVs, and securing buy-in for new initiatives.
• Employing effective tools and techniques for business analysis and requirements gathering, securing buy-in from the end client and the wider team.
• Providing direction and promoting solid product management practices across one or more agile teams.
• Commercial awareness with an active involvement in sales-generating activities.
• Developing the approach taken throughout the software development lifecycle - namely: analysis, acceptance, launch and live ops.

Desirable experience for the Product Consultant role:

• Hands on experience within software development - e.g. Developer/Tester/Support Engineer.
• Experience working on client site on a daily basis.
• Active involvement in external community - e.g. online forums, speaking at conferences, webinars.

The Product Consultant will benefit from:
