Job Description

Procurement Category Manager - IT Birmingham Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE), 20% bonus, 12% pension, family healthcare, flexible working and 25 days holiday Sea Global are currently recruiting an opportunity for a household, FTSE-listed organisation. This is amazing opportunity for an IT Procurement or IT Category Manager to join a highly established function, managing a £200m spend. The role is a new position, which has been created due to continuous growth of the organisation, despite the current economic climate. You will have the opportunity to make a difference within a global organisation, who provide on going development and have countless success stories of promotions. Reporting directly into the Group Head of IT Procurement, you will: The Role

  • Will involve creating and implementing category strategy across a number of subcategories, including (but not limited to); Software, Services and Security
  • Develop and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation, including C-Level, Senior Managers and Head of Departments (predominantly across the UK, but there is potential for global/EMEA reach)
  • Manage the full procurement cycle from cradle to grave, including strategic sourcing, category management and ongoing SRM
    • The Candidate
  • Will have a proven track record in delivering savings across the IT Category (flexible on subcategories), but you will need to show experience outside of hardware
  • Should be a strong negotiator and will be have experience of managing stakeholders of all levels, for a large organisation
  • MCIPS is desirable, however not at all essential
    • (Please note, this role is home based currently, but post COVID you will be expected to be in the office 2 days a week) Required skills
