The Planning, Procurement & Logistics Manager co-ordinates all planning, logistics and sub-contract purchasing activity on site. Responsible for reviewing customer demand on a 12-24 month horizon and establishing a master production schedule which optimizesproduction capacity and resources and protects the businesses ability to sustainably meet customer demand.Client DetailsA global market leading manufacturer who are a technology-driven, critical supplier to key aerospace and defense customers, focused on maximizing aero engine and airframe growth opportunities.DescriptionTake responsibility for all external procurement and supply chain management in relation to the value added supply chain. This will include placement of purchase orders, expediting purchase orders and creation of reporting to monitor progress of supply chainperformance. Other key responsibilities with the supply chain will be to reach commercial agreements where needed for purchase of goods / services and ensuring that logistics arrangements are in place.You will also ensure that appropriate processes and resources are in place to effectively manage the logistical requirements of the business including management of import / export considerations, as well as having overall management responsibility for theexecution of those functions.As part of this role the you will also be expected to contribute heavily to the development of the site strategy for planning and ERP architecture and ownership of all associated planning processes including master data management.Profile
