Job Description

Lead Java Developers – Multiple roles (Java, Spring Boot, SQL, MongoDB) - Referral bonusavailableI have an amazing opportunity for highly skilled hands-on Lead Java Developer to join my Global market leading client in this amazing period of growth.My client is constantly looking at innovating the market they are in, and to do so they are always looking to use the latest cutting-edge technology.You will have the chance to join a team where your opinion will matter and to join a business where you can truly build a fantastic career.Despite the current climate they have hired over 40 people in the last 12 months and are looking to build a brand-new team in the Midlands. The role is full home based for now but in time you would need to be able to commute to the office ideally a few times a week.As the Lead Java Developer your key duties will include:

  • Leading a small team to enable the design and development of custom and complex software solutions
  • Managing the project software delivery lifecycle and your team’s role within this process
  • Producing high quality, maintainable code
  • Partnering effectively with client project teams
    • As the Lead Java Developer, you will need experience in the following:
  • A proven commercial track record leading and mentoring other developers.
  • Strong background in Java development
  • Solid experience with application and database technologies and how they support specific business functions and provide commercial benefits.
  • Ability to estimate effort for the completion of User Stories.
  • The importance of the customer through gaining feedback and using it as a basis for decision-making.
    • As the Lead Java Developer, the technologies and tools you will use/ need to have worked with are:
  • JAVA,
  • Spring Boot
  • Hibernate
  • SQL or NoSQL databases, e.g., MongoDB
  • GIT/SVN
    • Experience commercially in any of the following would be great but not essential:
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Sonar and CI/CD)
  • Any modern front end JS framework (React/ Angular etc)
