Life at Advanced begins in an exciting environment in a role that matters.Due to continued growth, we are looking for a confident Consultant to join the team, who will deliver innovative technology solutions to Managed Services customers.The ideal candidate will have a background in Private Cloud and will have had some exposure to Azure deployment. What You Will Do Primarily you will deliver customer facing IT consultancy work within Professional Services:

• Interacting with clients to determine technical and business requirements, ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution.
• Translating customer requirements into costed technical solutions with high level designs and production of customer-facing proposal documentation. Solutions must be secure, conforming to best technology and operational practice, using and refining standardapproaches where possible.
• Professional Services technical implementation activity primarily within private cloud, though often leveraging hybrid cloud services. This includes producing low level designs, and implementation of server builds and configuration of services (e.g. security,backups, monitoring, DR services).
• Implementing innovative solutions thatdrive automationto build consistent and repeatable services in turn, driving service improvement.
• Work with Pre-Sales to develop technical solutions and answer technical questions from customers or prospects.
• Working at pace to hand over well documented services successfully to operational support teams.

What You Will Have

• Experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting IT solutions. Our services run in dedicated private cloud on VMware using Windows servers and some Linux.
• Good understanding of Active Directory and the Microsoft tiered administration model.
• Understanding of dedicated hosting, co-location, private cloud and IT outsourcing.
• Experience of typical enterprise tooling, (e.g. backups, monitoring, security).
• Some script writing experience in PowerShell, PHP or Python.
• Awareness of security best practices with confidence to be able to convey them.
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills, written and oral, conversing at all levels with customers, prospects and internally.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to devise and implement strategies beneficial to Advanced and our clients.
• Be self-motivated, tenacious, disciplined, enthusiastic and resilient.
• Effective time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure.
• Some experience of Azure deployment.
