Job Description

Required - Principal, Commercial/Regulatory SpecialistContract type - Fixed Term Contract (2 years)Location - Birmingham or London Salary - £51,000 - £65,000Badenoch + Clark are working alongside a large public sector organisation who are seeking to take on board an experienced and reliable Commercial/Regulatory Specialist who has strong public sector experience with the skills and knowledge to hit the ground running within a busy and faced paced department within an agile environment. The client is looking for an individual who is able to help in delivering the strategy, helping them to be the high performing regulator that is required to be and helping the sector to deliver outcomes that matter to customers and society.About the role:*Leading on one or more projects in the future assets and resources (FAR) cluster, youll ensure that were delivering on our strategic objectives to time and to budget, and in line with our ways of working but critically ensuring that we deliver benefits in the interests of customers.*Uphold exceptionally high standards of delivery and collaborate with third party companies to support them to deliver the best value for customers for the major infrastructure projects and resource schemes being proposed.*Cultivate robust relationships with your stakeholders and create an environment for challenging the status quo and pursuing innovations where these deliver for customers.*You will have a broad portfolio of projects/issues, and will take ownership of a range of specific policy issues, taking responsibility and accountability for their success.*Lead on different projects within the FAR cluster which will deliver on major infrastructure.*Managing projects through the various processes that have been designed to ensure efficient and effective delivery*manage interaction with all key stakeholders on your allocated projects, analysing complex commercial, financial and technical proposals and preparing recommendations for senior management on how the regulatory framework is structured and applied to ensure the best value for money solutions are bought forward in the interests of customers.Person Specific:*Experience of leading workstreams or managing major infrastructure projects or programmes. *Experience of negotiating complex commercial agreements. *Ability to analyse complex data and present options and prepare recommendations to senior management.*Experience of managing external legal, technical and financial advisers. *Experience of managing staff and/or of leading a team to deliver complex tasks and projects, including managing multi-disciplinary teams and consultants. *Ability to digest large amounts of information and apply critical thinking in order to develop robust, high quality decisions which are in the best interests of customers. *Experience of interrogating financial models and providing intellectual challenge to support decision making.*Ability to understand complex commercial and financial concepts and use analytical frameworks to demonstrate outcomes, assess risks and mitigate.To apply for this opportunity please send your cv to Niall on Badenoch + Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
