School AdministratorBirminghamReed Education are working with a school in Birmingham who are looking to appoint a school administrator to join their lively, friendly school office. The school, based in the south of Birmingham is part of a large national multi academy trust, is a twoform entry sitting right at the heart of its community.The school are looking to appoint an administrator to start in September 2022 on a temporary basis, however there could be the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.The role of school administrator is a varied but important role, no two days are the same and the successful candidate will be carrying a role of different duties throughout the day and week. A school administrator plays a crucial role in the day-to-day lifeof the school. The role involves close working relationships with all members of staff but also work closely with families and other members of the local community and external agencies.As guardian of the school office, the successful candidate will be a friendly, caring but hard working and self-motivated individual, you will be someone who can work well under pressure. Some of the day to day duties will include, answering calls and takingmessages, collecting monies, attendance calls, welcoming visitors into school, producing attendance reports and publishing of the weekly newsletter. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of safeguarding.The successful candidate will have Experience of working in a school office or have worked in a different role within a school Have experience of using MIS and be confident in creating daily and weekly reports Have experience of attendance procedures Have excellent written and oral communication skills Be friendly and someone who is a team player Be confident Someone who can be a positive role models for children and families alike.
