Your main role will be monitoring the behaviour and wellbeing of pupil across the school, implementing effective intervention strategies, and mentoring thechildren on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. As a Primary Pastoral Lead, you will need to work with pupils in a nurturing manner, providing a positive, secure learning environment.You will focus on the social, emotional and mental health of the pupils youwork with, running sessions with them in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.The Primary Pastoral Lead:To be eligible for this Primary Pastoral Lead position, it is important that you have extensive experience as support staff within a primary setting. You must have a Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification, and ideally be a Higher Level TeachingAssistant. This role requires you to approach subjects with a hollistic, person-centric focus, working with groups of children to improve their SEMH wellbeing.The School:This two-form entry, Ofsted Good school located in the Birmingham ward of Erdington caters for KS1 and KS2 pupils, with a mixed intake.
