Job Description

Pricing Manager£60,000 to £90,000 dependent on experienceOur client, a leading insurance brand in the UK, is currently looking for a Pricing Manager from a personal lines general insurer background.The purpose of the role is to support the senior management team by providing pricing recommendations, as well as insight based on market leading analysis and predictive modelling.The role can be based anywhere in the UK, as there is the opportunity to work remotely.Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Pricing and senior stakeholders in the business to deliver pricing changes towards achieving business objectives.
  • Manage a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts.
  • Maintain and develop best practice pricing models and price optimisation techniques. Influence the wider Pricing team by driving strategic changes to the approach to pricing.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the pricing and analysis tools available e.g. Radar, Emblem, SAS Viya and opensource ML software (Python, R).
  • Apply predictive modelling expertise to a wide range of business problems beyond pricing.
    • Requirements
  • Must have demonstrable experience within personal lines general insurance in a Pricing Manager role. Significant exposure to Motor products is preferred, although Household experience is also useful.
  • Previous experience of managing a team is essential.
  • Strong academic background, including a 2:1 or above in a numerical degree.
  • A strong understanding of general insurance underwriting principles.
  • Must have experience of Radar, Emblem, SAS Viya and opensource ML software (Python, R).
