Through our policy work, we are going to change that. As the UK’s largest dementia charity, the Alzheimer’s Society has thrown its weight behind achievingthe policies that people living with dementia urgently need. This role is pivotal to making that happen and this will be a career-defining opportunity to make dementia the priority that it needs to be.You will have a critical role in deciding what the Alzheimer’s Society thinks about issues that impact on people living with dementia, identifying the changes need, and mobilising the rest of the organisation to bring about those changes.You will manage a team of policy officers to help with this, commissioning robust evidence and creating compelling arguments to convince decision-makers of the need for action. You will build close collaborative relationships with individuals within the Government,healthcare systems, and the voluntary sector to make sure that we are well-informed and in the best position to influence.You will also be a key part of the Alzheimer’s Society’s management team and will work closely with colleagues in other teams such as influencing, media, research evidence and involvement, to get our policy positions realised.Alzheimers Society have recently been named on theSunday Times Best Places to Work 2023!We have achieved excellent scores for workplace happiness, pride, and job satisfaction.
