  • Operate the refuse cranes to ensure efficient receipt, mixing and feeding of waste into the ERF.
  • Deputise for the First Operator and provide support for the day to day operation of the ERF from the control room using the DCS.
  • Reporting defects and problems on the plant and having the ability to diagnose these problems and suggest remedies.
  • Input data on the various company computer systems.
What are we looking for
  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and operational experience of plant mechanical, electrical systems and control systems.
  • City & Guilds Certificate in Energy Recovery Plant Operation, or equivalent qualification, and / or a City & Guilds Plant Operator Part 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Full clean UK driving licence
