Job Description

A Birmingham-based company is on the lookout for a talented PHP Developer to join their expanding team. Youll be joining a dynamic diverse team where your opinion and ideas count. You will be working on a number of innovative projects using the PHP LAMP stack.The PHP Developer must have:

  • Excellent knowledge of the LAMP stack
  • Passionate about modern software engineering best practice
  • Knowledge of OO PHP and MVC
  • Experience of the Laravel framework (or similar)
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • Previous experience developing RESTful web services and both client / server-side components
  • Experience with Version Control - Git, SVN, Mercurial
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles
  • Experience with cloud hosting, such as AWS
  • Experience with unit testing, e.g. PHPUnit
  • Passion for User Experience (UX) and Customer Experience (CX)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate within all levels of a business
  • Good problem solver with a passion for using the latest technologies
  • Team player, friendly, approachable with a flexible attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and question information received
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting deadlines
