Job Description

Your new roleWe are looking for a Performance Analyst to join our team. The Calibration & Optimisation Services team are responsible for undertaking analysis of various operational technology assets. These assets are roadside traffic technology assets, such as systemsthat detect vehicles and set signals in response to the current traffic conditions.We report on the performance of these assets, use engineering judgement to make improvements to the assets, and then review the impact of these changes. Our ultimate goal is to ensure the operational technology assets are optimised as well as they can beto improve customer service and journey times. What youll be leading on

  • Responsible for undertaking the regular performance analysis of operational technology, assessing and reporting on the results, and taking steps to improve performance
  • Responsible for the accuracy, quality and usefulness of data analysis
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders to improve the availability, performance, and perception of operational technology systems.
  • Writing technical reports for non-technical audiences and/or presenting information and findings to wider audiences, both technical and non-technical
  • You will act as a coach and provide an escalation route for the Associate Performance Analysts
To be successful
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal presentation and communication skills as you will be responsible for presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experienced in working with a variety of data types to extract meaningful insights.
  • Be numerate with practical knowledge of data analytics methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders to resolve technical challenges
  • Have an understanding of data and information management principles.
  • You should have knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications such as Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc
  • It would be desirable to demonstrate experience of coaching junior colleagues and/or acting as an escalation route
  • You must be an experienced and effective communicator who can tailor your communication method and techniques based on your audience
  • You will be able to logically prioritise workload and competing demands
  • It would be desirable to demonstrate advanced Excel and/or Power BI skills
