Job Description

Payroll Specialist - £55,000 - £60,000 + Bonus & Amazing Benefits - BirminghamFrazer Jones are delighted to be supporting a leading name within financial services on the recruitment of a Payroll Specialist to join on a permanent basis.Our client is requiring 1-2 days per month in the office.The Role:Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end payroll processing for UK and Ireland, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in employee payments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party payroll suppliers across relevant regions, while providing backup support for US and CAD payrolls.
  • Offer assistance for global payroll processing in emerging markets as the organization expands.
  • Stay informed about legislative and tax changes, implementing best practices within payroll operations.
  • Keep payroll systems updated with changes such as new hires, terminations, contract modifications, and banking details.
  • Assist in managing secondee data and associated changes.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc management information and payroll reports.
  • Provide responsive support to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits via a shared communication platform.
  • Aid in the annual processing of statutory forms such as P60s and P11Ds.
  • Collaborate on Earlier Year Updates (EYUs) and facilitate their submission and payments as necessary.
  • Support internal and external payroll audits and contribute to operational resilience efforts.
  • Manage processing of payroll invoices and reports.
  • Collaborate with the internal Employment Tax Manager on addressing relevant queries and reconciliations.
Benefits Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the global benefits management team to implement changes, updates, and manage life events related to employee benefits.
  • Process monthly reimbursements via payroll and provide support on related inquiries and setup tasks.
  • Assist in managing leaves and absences, including Maternity, Paternity, Shared Parental, Sick, and Adoption, from a payroll standpoint.
  • Support annual enrollment processes for payroll-related changes in coordination with the Benefits Manager.
