Job Description

Job Title: Payroll OfficerContract: 16-month FTCHours: Full time (37.5 hours), Monday to Friday (Hybrid working once trained)Location: ErdingtonSalary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annumBenefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, auto enrolment pension, 3x annual salary life assurance, free parkingOur client based in Erdington is looking to recruit a Payroll Officer for a 16-month maternity cover. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role, you will be working alongside the company payroll provider ensuring currentand timely payments to all employees and have responsibility for pension payments and other payroll related activities.Duties include:

  • Supply/input data to payroll provider in the agreed format to the deadline agreed
  • Request verification of National Insurance Number from HMRC (NVREQ)
  • Review reports and update via the agreed method and timeframe
  • Distribute p45s and p60s to employees
  • Input accurate variable data directly into the system
  • Resolve issues and errors and update the system as required
  • Review results from payroll calculation
  • Issue funds to the payroll provider for employee net pay, HMRC & third party payments in agreed timescales
Skills and experience required:
  • Previous Payroll experience
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Packages
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Strong organisation and accuracy skills
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask
