They are offering a competitive salary up to £32,000k on a 12 month fixed term contract.Purpose of the roleProvide accurate and timely Payroll audit actions and reconciliations, and reconcile data between the People Payroll system to ensure accuracy and assurance. To support compliance with regulatory, professional and service standards in support of governance processes, performance management and wider organisational objectives.Skills and attributes for success

  • A successful track record in analysing, managing and reporting Payroll information & data in a large, multi-disciplined operational organisation.
  • A solid Payroll background with a strong track record of working with large amounts of data and reporting.
  • Experience of establishing productive relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Understanding and awareness of political environments, can adapt style and confident in dealing with people at all levels of an organisation both internally and externally.
  • The ability to synthesise and summarise complex information (including statistics) into a user-friendly format
  • To be successful in this role you must have:
  • Level 5 CIPP Payroll Qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong IT skills with knowledge of the relevant IT systems and with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to render data and information into visually comprehensible representations such as charts, graphs
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, concise and accurate reports for Senior Management Teams, including the Chief Officer Group.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to brief employees at all levels of the organisation, including those at senior management levels.
  • High levels of professional integrity with the ability to carry out complex and highly confidential investigations with tact and diplomacy.
