Job Description

Are you an experienced Pastoral Manager looking for work in BirminghamWinner Education are seeking an experienced Pastoral Manager for a specialist education centre in the South Birmingham area. This role is full time and will be long term until the end of the academic year, you must be readily available due to the urgencyto fill this position.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • 1:1 support for pupils with EHCP’s
  • Liaise with external agencies to maintain support for pupils
  • Provide emotional support for pupils and their families
  • Mentor pupils to ensure their reach their potential
  • Track progress of pupils and work in partnership with Curriculum Lead
  • Manage a team of pastoral staff
  • Work alongside SLT’s
  • Ensure pupils maintain an excellent level of attendance
  • Provided excellent communication with parents when required
The successful Pastoral Manager must:
  • Be a deeply caring and passionate person
  • Have extensive safeguarding knowledge and understanding
  • Support students with the transition of the next stage of their education or training
  • Have previous experience working in a SEN school or a Pupil Referral Unit
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of children with behavioural challenges and SEMH
  • Have strong resilience and patience
  • Be a great team-player and form good relationships within the school environment
