Job Description

Part 2 Architectural Assistant- Birmingham- up to 45kMy client is a thriving Architectural practice based in central Birmingham. With an extremely busy housing sector at present they are looking to supplement the current team with a Part 2 architectural assistantYou will joining a small tight knit team where collaboration is key and you will help deliver projects across a range of sectors including Residential, Student living, Care Homes and Commercial property.The potential for progression within the company is huge due to supportive and appreciative nature of the senior management team.The role is full time office based due to the collaborative nature of the company as well as the need to lead a team.A fantastic working environment awaits with a professional yet very cheerful group who genuinely enjoy their work and communication with peers.Competitive salary plus the chance for 10% profit share for any new leads to the business, pension scheme and professional and course fees paid. This really is not an opportunity you want to miss.Candidate specification-

  • A good knowledge of residential layout design reinforced with examples of work.
  • Proven knowledge of current design standards that should be applied to residential projects
  • Proven experience of working directly with clients as the main point of contact and liaising with Local Authorities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and develop relationships.
  • Experience of producing comprehensive Design and Access statements/ Vision statements/ Design Codes
  • A proven track record of delivering successful planning approvals.
  • A strong work ethic and ambition to progress within the company
  • A Good knowledge of Working Drawings preferable
The Role:
  • Working alongside the Director in developing residential layout designs from inception to completion
  • Heading up the residential team in production of drawings and delivery of planning applications.
  • Working alongside the Associate Director in future proofing designs for delivery to the working drawings team
  • Developing new pipelines and business opportunities.
Proficient in the following software:
  • Autocad
  • Photoshop
  • Adobe illustrator
  • Sketch Up 3D
  • Revit An advantage
